Youth Academy (American Football)

Our Youth Academy is based on 3 core principles: fun, development and success. The programme is key to the future of our club, with the coaches and board of management dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the youths to thrive. They have worked hard to establish the programme, with previous success including youth players representing our Senior American Football team as well as earning international caps.

Success was found in the first ever Youth League in 2014 where the Cowboys emerged victorious to take the title, and then repeated the feat in 2015. The Cowboys then returned in 2024, and a year later, became the 2025 Setanta Bowl Champions.

​Training for the Youth American Football team starts in June, with the season running from September to November. We are always seeking new members, so check that you fit the criteria below and get in touch to join the team!

Key Information:

• You must be aged between 15 and 18* - if you turned 18 this calendar year, then you are eligible to play.
• Mixed gender sport - sport for all!
• You only need to bring boots, a gumshield and water - we will lend you all other equipment such as helmet and shoulder pads! Weather appropriate sports clothing is advised.
• No experience required! We have plenty of experienced coaches to take you through the basics and allow you to develop.
