#1 Neil Maxwell returning the ball against the Louth Mavericks.
Neil, you’re fresh off of your rookie season with the Cowboys, I suppose the first question is, did you enjoy it?

Absolutely, I enjoyed everything about it, suppose it's hard not to enjoy when you win the IAFL1 bowl in your first season.

Taking you back to around this time last year, how did you come across the Cowboys? Did you have an interest in American Football before?

I basically came across them on Facebook. I had followed the NFL for a good few years, and just wanted to see if there was anything near me I could get involved in. That’s how I found the cowboys,

Whenever you came down to our rookie days, what was your first impression of the ‘Boys?

I found all the guys very welcoming, you could tell they all had a passion for american football which really made it easier to get involved and helped me learn the game.

Had you any position in mind before you came down, or did you know you were gonna be the next Wes Welker?

Think I've a few more yards to get before I can compete with Wes, but I didnt really think about positions before I went down, I just got stuck in and receiver was the position that suited me best.

Finally Neil, what would you say to anyone thinking about coming down?

Come on down and get stuck in, you won't regret getting involved, I haven't looked back since joining last season.
